David Ball our Blackman's Veteran mechanic dusted off  a pair of Campagnolo Delta brake calipers and brought in to show us.

Dave says" Even though they were know to be a heavy brake they were widely used due to there performance and high tech look. Back when Delta brakes were new companies like Colanargo would etch there brand logo over the Campag logo. in the case of Colanago the clover was used. The space was seen as good advertising space."

"some of the features that made the brake so desirable in its day is the fact that you could raise an lower the caliper to sit millimeters above the tire, and the brake blocks had individual toe in/out screws for fine adjustments." Dave says he remembers a photo of himself racing in the 80's and 8 other rider's all running the Delta brake"

The Delta brake is an fascinating concept that shows the dedication of the Italians to design and functionality
